My custom commands dont work

Ive tried everything, read through a post made by “dustin” and nothing worked.

do u by chance have it setup with multiple words with spaces between as the trigger?

You’re going to have to give us more details because we’re not able to help you with that little amount of information.

I suspect you’re on YouTube, so:

  1. make sure you’re trying to get Nightbot on a Live and not on a Premiere, Nightbot doesn’t have access to the latter
  2. then make sure you’re looking at Live Chat and not Top Chat
  3. type !commands in your chat and give us the link it should respond with

If !commands doesn’t respond with a link:

  1. go to the dashboard, make sure you’re connected with the account you’re streaming with
  2. make sure Nightbot has joined your chat: on the top right corner there should be a red button that says “Part Channel,” if it’s blue and says “Join Channel,” Nightbot hasn’t joined your chat, so you need to click on the button for it to turn red, it should also give you steps to add Nightbot as a moderator, make sure to do it properly
  3. if Nightbot has already joined your channel, make sure it’s a moderator, if you’re unsure of how to do it, parting the bot and joining it back should give you the steps to follow again
  4. then go to your default commands and make sure !commands is enabled
  5. try calling one of your custom commands again, if it still doesn’t work, type !commands in your chat and share with us the link it responds with
