URL shortener for nightbot?

When we use $(query) to make a url its usually quite long unless we r requesting through API.
Does anyone have an URL shortener api for nightbot use or is there any plan at nightbot for this feature?

PS. i guess the best way might be actually for us to make an Link much like a href tag.

We already have bit.ly support internally for the twitter variable. I’ll add this to the to-do list.
