When you go to the dashboard, the button in the top right corner must be red and say “Part Channel,” if it’s blue and says “Join Channel,” click on it.
If the first suggestion isn’t what you need, go to your custom commands and create a !test command with a message (it can be whatever you want), then go live and in your live chat type !test, the bot should responds.
