Sub mode and slowmode always on?

I downloaded this because some1 in a stream told me it was good, soon as i downloaded it, on the top right of the twitch chat it tells me sub only and slow modes are active when i know for a fact they are not. i tried going into a streamer without a sub button and it still said sub mode enabled. how do i fix this? i didnt have a problem untill i downloaded this better twitch

Any twitch chat can have sub mode and slow mode regardless of them being partnered.

Try just debugging bttv and that should remove the issue. If it doesn’t work feel free to submit an issue at their GitHub page.

BetterTTV Debugging

First check that your settings did not get reset. Sometimes you may think that BetterTTV isn’t loading but you may have cleared your cookies (which resets the settings). See if you have BetterTTV Settings within the Twitch chat settings. If so, then BetterTTV is probably working correctly. Click on BetterTTV Settings and try toggling the settings you are missing or that are not working to see if that fixes your problem. Not seeing certain emotes?
