Song requests only working for moderators

So, Nightbot setting:
“Minimum User-Level
Select the minimum user-level required to request songs: Everyone”
and nobody but my mods and I can request music.

All settings are set properly so that song requests SHOULD work. The weird this is I just started using nightbot recently, and for the first few weeks this feature worked perfectly fine, then one day it just stopped working for anyone below Moderator status without me touching ANY settings. I’ve tried changing settings such as changing minimum user level, refreshing the page, and changing them back to “everyone”. I tried switching minimum user exempt level (exempt to limits) to subscriber in case there was a conflict having both min user level and min exempt user level both set to “everyone”. I’ve tried unmodding, banning and then unbanning and re-modding nightbot and fully re-authorized via twitch.

Attaching an image of an example of it happening in my chat. This was a first time chatter but I’ve tested it with friends and if they are not a moderator it does not work.

You may need to update the Userlevel of the !songs command at https://nightbot.tv/commands/default

Omg I think this was actually the solution, I never noticed this! May I suggest making a link to this in the Song Request “settings” page?

Also looking at the description of this, I think I know why I set it to moderator at some point. It looks like if it is set to “everyone” then random users could delete each others song request and it means ANYBODY can skip other peoples songs.

Is there any way to make it so that “everyone” can request songs but only “moderators” can do things like skip or delete songs?

That is the default behavior, and you cannot customize who is able to moderate the songs (only moderators can).
