Song requests not working

With the new UI of nightbot I’m not able to turn the song requests back on. Ironically I had song requests disabled right before the update so I’m assuming that’s why its not working. I’ve gone through all of the settings trying to find the button but haven’t had any luck. Is there a new way for my chat to request songs that I’m not aware of?

Just to clarify, nightbot is working. Its just song request that’s not.

Thanks for letting us know. We managed to forget that setting in the new site (which is why it’s a beta release, since we expected issues like this). We’ll have it fixed soon.

If you download the Nightbot App, the old style AutoDJ will be there with the Disable/Enable button. Just don’t click on " Try the New Nightbot Control Panel" notice that will appear as it did before.

You also omitted the Search feature too.

Another problem is the randomization does not work. Everytime you open the AutoDJ, it has the same set of songs in the same order. You have to click the “random icon” in the player to mix it up. What is weird is if you click it a second time, it does not do another randomization. It reverts back to the original same songs and order.

As all of you is getting problems on new UI, can you test the promote command? On my new panel, promote is not working too.
It says the message on new UI but wont promote, only works on old UI.

I have explained in other post here.

We addressed the issues discussed in this topic in our latest updates:

  • Enable/disable was added
  • Search was added
  • Randomization is defaulted on and you can only re-shuffle
  • Promote command support was added

Please let us know if you notice any other issues!

Amazing work! Now promote is working fine via API and !sr command <3

One think that should be back is the queue number, where i can see the number to people known from where to promote:

That’s a good callout. I’ll make sure we re-add that.
