I would like to know if it is possible to turn off Nightbot’s auto response from clogging up my chat or is the response mandatory?
There is currently no way to hide the response from nightbot. If it is spamming up chat too much you can tell people to go to your song request page and request from there. That way a message isn’t shown in chat.
The song request page would be https://beta.nightbot.tv/t/username/song_requests replacing username with your twitch username. Mine would be like so: https://beta.nightbot.tv/t/siikrick/song_requests

That is correct. There is no way to edit the response.
