Not getting commands

I don’t quite understand the commands.

If I read the instructions right, the commands are only executed when the command word is used

So I’ve changed my commands to not include the exclamation point.

Why doesn’t nightbot just parse the whole sentence that a user typed and look for these keywords?

Like I don’t get it why does he user have to type an exclamation point?

So I changed it to commands that did not include the exclamation point.

And I just assumed that no matter what the user typed, if it was in the sentence, then Nate bought would chirp up.

But it seems that This does not work.

It seems that the command only is the only thing that needs to be typed That is strange.

Commands must be singular words that prefix a message sent by a user. We don’t require you to use a prefix if you don’t want to, but typically exclamation marks tend to be used to avoid confusion in chat.

We do not permit keyword commands at this time. Keyword commands imply they can be executed from anywhere in the input a user typed.

I vote for the implementation of finding a keyword in the users conversation (sentance).

This way NightBot can interject in any conversation.

Any comment from @Nightdev-Helper or @NightDev ?

I think an option from someone who owns the youtube channel could have a check box to apple for keyword commands be permitted in the sentence. It would generate alot more traffic!

The idea is to make it look like there is a conversation going just like chat GPT does. I think this would be a great idea.
