Night bot isn’t joining our Youtube Live Chat. We’re not a 24/7/365 stream. It’s set up as a moderator, it says it’s active on the Dashboard, and I’ve followed all of the steps in the trouble shooting guide.
No matter what I’ve done, I can’t get Nightbot to join the live chat. It’s not showing up at all, in any of the chat options (live chat, top chat), or as a participant. Putting in a command doesn’t trigger anything. Been streaming now for over an hour and it wont join.
I’m having the same issues with other chatbots, so not sure what’s going wrong here but any advice would be useful.
If it’s not just Nightbot having trouble connecting then it sounds like there may be a misconfiguration of your YouTube channel. Nightbot can generally only join streams when they’re live after a few minutes. The channel must also be live and set to public (not private nor unlisted). If you’re still having issues even after that, you could try removing Nightbot from the channel and then re-adding it.
Mines doing the same thing. I have added it many times and it never comes up even after 4 hrs. I have tried a few others and there not showing up either. Thinking its on youtubes side now but they never reply to my help stuff.
