So, I have a old username: iMiguelBayma
Now, my current name is: lBayama (I changed a long time ago)
But for some reason, my old username appeared when someone used !currentsong. Instead of appearing as lBayama, it appeared as iMiguelBayma.
But to be even more confused, I used !currentsong in my own channel to see if I could change something, but appeared my current username.
Example:
I dont know if it was a bug, or if my old username will keep appears only on nightbots commands from other peoples streams.
Is this an old playlist you made to which you add new songs? I think it’s possible it retained your former username because you added the song at the time you were using that name.
Actually, it was very recent (at dawn this Sunday if I’m not mistaken). It was the first that I put a song in that channel, this is why is strange to had appear my old username (I already had the new username when a met that channel). But after that when I was trying to put songrequest in my channel to test if my old username would appear again, I had to configure my nightbot (Because of the name change). So maybe this has a connection?
But I do not think so. I mean, I don’t think my nightbot has anything to do with someone else’s nightbot, I think.
That is indeed very strange… And I don’t have the answer, but if the issue only happened once and is not reproductible, then it’s not something we can do anything about.
Ok. Maybe it is was just a bug that (probably?) will not happen. Unfortunately, I have to wait for some streamer do !songrequest again to test. But thank you anyways.
Well, if you notice that the bug happens again, let us know, either here, or if it’s been more than 2 weeks, open a new topic and link to this one so we don’t have to look for it.
And I don’t have the answer, but if the issue only happened once and is not reproductible, then it’s not something we can do anything about.
