I use Nightbot to control the playlist for my drum stream, so I want to set up a knob on a macro pad to control volume to avoid having to fiddle with a mouse from a drumkit! I can see the keyboard shortcuts for volume up/down and they work while there’s no song playing, however while a song is playing, if you try to adjust the volume using the keys you see it move a step and immediately bounce back to where it was.
Even if you pause it, then adjust it with the keys the same thing happens. If you use the mouse it’s just fine and sets where the volume is locked to for they keys.
I have no idea why using the keys would be any different to using the mouse/slider, but this is what’s happening 
I can also tell you it doesn’t make a difference if I’m using the macro pad or the keyboard directly, and it doesn’t happen either on YouTube or the YouTube Music Desktop app (using their own respective shortcuts), it’s only in the Nightbot Song Request system, to my knowledge so far.
