How to get a viewer count

I can’t seem to get any custom api for viewer counts to work and is there a way to get a viewer count for when i type !viewers. Any help is appreicated

Yes you can with the $(twitch) variable. For example:

!commands add !viewers $(twitch $(channel) "$(channel) has currently {{viewers}} viewers")
