Entire Playlist HTML5 Error Including AutoDJ

The AutoDJ, which was working fine earlier today, is now giving an error of “Video does not support HTML5 YouTube Player:” and the entire playlist is greyed out. Checked all the settings, nothing has changed. Checked Windows Update, was a week ago since any updates ran. Tried clearing cache, browsing history, restarting the computer, checking for updates of Chrome and Windows, everything up to date.

For the life of me, I’m unable to get any song to play through Nightbot. If I go to any of the links directly, they work fine and play without issues.I even went so far as deleting the playlist and trying a different one, no luck.

FYI: Changed information to pull from Soundcloud and that works fine. Though I would much rather use YouTube.

Spec info:

Google Chrome is up to date: Version 80.0.3987.149 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Windows 10 Pro (Up To Date) , Version 1909, Build 18363.720

Something after the latest windows/chrome update has something to do with this…as it was working fine the day before yesterday…I updated for Doom Eternal yesterday and it stopped working afterwards.

Doesn’t matter if I request a song manually, use AutoDJ, start chrome as Admin…the very same songs I was playing just fine before the update are now no longer playing due to this error

EDIT/Update: It’s DEFFO Chrome; just tried via IE and it’s working fine.

I got it working again doing the following things:

  • Allowing embedded and media content via Chrome security settings
  • Disabling any and ALL adblocking software running on the page

Added nightbot.tv to my AdBlockPlus whitelist, allowing ADs, resolved the issue,.
