Hi,

Is there any copyright on BTTV emotes preventing their use on other websites? Would permission need to be obtained or are the emotes safe to use elsewhere besides on Twitch with the plugin?

If you’re looking to use certain BetterTTV emotes elsewhere you should generally get permission from the uploader before using them.

Thanks. What about the global BTTV emotes which have no specific uploader?

Global emotes we do not really care about, since most are not original content.
