Command to print # of mods in channel?

Hi! I’m looking to create a simple command that will print out the number of mods that are currently present in a stream. Any advice on how to accomplish this?

Yes this should be possible with use of this API Endpoint

https://tmi.twitch.tv/group/user/CHANNEL/chatters 

Note that CHANNEL Should be replaced with the channel or $(channel) variable
