Can't hear whispers/mentions notification sounds

I am using Opera, and have tried with Chrome too.
I enabled “Highlight/Whisper notification”, but on both browsers I can’t hear the notification sound.
Adblocks are turned off and still can’t hear.

Any help?

Apologies for the delayed response. If your chat line highlights red but you didn’t get a notification sound, it may be because Chrome now blocks notification sounds unless sound is coming from the page already. If you are playing sound and are not getting them, please file an issue over on GitHub with reproduction steps so we can look into it: Issues · night/betterttv · GitHub
