All these users are showing up as not subscribed to our channel when using the !winner command. is this a known issue or am i doing something wrong?
In nightbot, subscribers originate from twitch as people who have subscribed and paid $4.99 per month to be so. On YT, although it has the same name, there is no direct equivalent to twitch’s subscription.
Youtube subscribers are equivalent to twitch’s followers which nightbot has no support for, and there are no plans to support.
For YouTube we show if a user is subscribed to the channel, but that is only accurate if the user has enabled their subscriptions to be public. For Twitch we show following status, which is the equivalent but not possible to make private.
