Unable to add shared emotes

I was added as a BTTV editor for my friend's Twitch channel and I gifted him a BTTV Pro subscription. The dashboard for his channel shows the 50 available slots, but doesn't let me add any shared emotes nor does it show more than 15 shared emotes (it says "Shared Emotes 15/50").

Am I doing something wrong? How do we fix this?

On the top right corner of the website, do you see your account or his? If you see yours, click on it and switch to your friend's.
