Is it allowed to take someone else's emote and upload it on your channel but keep it only as a channel emote(not sharing)? Will the user that "stole" it get punished and what will the punishment be?
Also, what happens to my emote if I upload it first but decide not to share it, and after that someone else uploads exactly the same emote with same name but does share it?
How do the emote reviewers find these kinds of duplicates anyway?

We do not actively search for duplicate emotes, but users can report these kinds of emotes to us using the report tool. In reality, it's impossible to stop duplicate emotes so at some level we just accept that they exist.
