Nightbot for public vs members chat

Hi there - We have a private member chat during our livestream that is separate from our public chat. I assumed that the nightbot settings would affect both (which is not ideal), but we're only seeing it affect the public chat. How do we get nightbot to work with our members-only chat? We would actually prefer to control each chat room separately if possible.

To my knowledge Nightbot should function in a members only chat. I was not aware YouTube had a "separate chat" feature for members only. How exactly does that work? Do you have two separate live streams, one for members and one for public? Nightbot can only currently join "public" streams, due to limitations in their status API.

I'm not sure how the team technically creates the members only chat, but it is the livestream with two separate URLs, creating two separate chats. We then post that url in the Community tab on Youtube for members-only to click on.
