when ever i type !discord for example it never brings up the link but i typed !command and it sent link to dashboard with all my commands i dont get why the separate commands don't work

Do you perhaps have the chat settings set to block messages containing links? Not on the Nightbot's dashboard, but on your channel settings.

Yes i have it on but you have to give the bot mod and mods can send link in the chat?

That's true, but such setting might affect bots, I suggest turning it off to see if it fixes your issue.
