Messages of certain lengths not showing

Hello everyone.

Sometimes when a message is a little on the longer side, it doesn’t display in the chat widget in OBS.

Sometimes my viewers type out longer sentences, maybe 4 or 5 lines worth. Messages that long don’t bother me at all. But for some reason NightDev chat doesn’t display them.

Any idea how to change this?

Twitch’s Twitch Messaging Interface (TMI) allows users to send messages containing 1-1000 (inclusive) characters. These messages show on OBS Chat just fine.

You can test out the message length by using this test string:

Does this have an anti-spam thing built in? I was just doing “TEST TEST TEST TEST TEST” over and over and over again… and after like…10 “TEST”'s… the message was no longer appearing.

We do not filter any messages. If anyone is filtering it would be Twitch.
