Is there a way to change the linked channel when clicking a subemote?

I’ve seen some streamers changing their twitch names, however when clicking their subemotes in chat it will send you to the old channel’s name. Example: clicking an emote from tsm_doublelift’s channel will link you to his old clg_doublelift account. Is there a way to change the linked channel?

Oh is this not part of BTTV? I tried it with another browser that doesn’t use BTTV and it doesn’t even link the account. A friend of mine even asked twitch support and they said it’s not part of their stuff

We source emote information from https://twitchemotes.com. You would need to reach out to them to update the emote’s information.
