How to use Shared emotes in other people's streams?

I've added a few shared emotes to my channel but they are not showing in the Bttv Emote Menu.
Global emotes work just fine. I'm not a Streamer, I only use Twitch to watch other people's streams. Do I have to setup my channel as a streamer to use Shared emotes?

Hey @Dusty Whale!

Channel and shared emotes you add to your BetterTTV are to be used in your chat only, it won't work in every chats. If you want to have emotes you can use everywhere, get BetterTTV Pro to access personal emotes.
