  1. How do I use Streamtip?
    1. Login to Streamtip
    2. Fill out your billing and payment information in your account settings.
    3. Link people to your public tip page, which is linked on the left side of your account settings.
    4. (optional) Download an alerter for use on stream. Visit the downloads page for these tools.

  2. How do I setup my payment information (PayPal, Bitcoin, etc.)?
    Head to https://streamtip.com/account/payments and fill out your details.
    Note #1: Verify that the information you enter is typed accurately.
    Note #2: Your PayPal email must be verified. If you are not sure if it is verified, login to PayPal, head to your email address list, select the email you want to verify, and click the “Confirm” button. Then, click the link in the email PayPal sends you.

  3. How do I customize/setup my public tipping page?
    Head to https://streamtip.com/account/tipping_page and fill out the form to your liking.

  5. Someone sent me a tip, but it doesn’t show in PayPal or Streamtip.
    Verify the details entered at https://streamtip.com/account/payments are accurate. If they are, then most likely you need to verify your PayPal email address. To do this, login to PayPal, head to your email address list, select the email you want to verify, and click the “Confirm” button. Then, click the link in the email PayPal sends you.

  6. Someone sent me a tip, but it doesn’t show up on Streamtip (only shows on PayPal).
    This shouldn’t be possible. Check to make sure the person sending you money is doing so through the Streamtip website.

  7. Someone sent me a tip, but it doesn’t show up on the alert application(s) (only shows on Streamtip website and PayPal).
    Verify that the alert program is working properly by resending the alert on your tips page. To resend an alert, click the blue information button on the right side of a tip (it’s right next to the delete (trashcan) button). After clicking the info button, select the orange “Resend Alert” button. If the resent alert works fine, then it was probably just a freak of nature and can be ignored. If you’re still having issues, try restarting the alerter. If it still doesn’t work, verify that the API Client ID and Access Token in your account settings is entered properly into the alerter settings. If you’re still having issues, please make a topic and let us know.

  8. I deleted my account and want it back. What do I do?
    Send us an email with your username and any billing information associated with your account, and we can restore your access to it.

  9. I’m getting a lot of failed e-check payments (possibly for high amounts of money).
    You can block e-checks and certain bank transfers in your PayPal settings.

    Under My Profile > My Selling Tools > Getting Paid & Managing My Risk, click “update” next to Block Payments. Check the box next to Block the following payments: Pay with eCheck or German bank transfer for all website payments except eBay. (thanks annemunition)
