Custom Commands not working

So, my friend has set up Nightbot for his twitch we've done the troubleshooting and Nightbot has full access to chat, isn't ignored, and is mod on channel. The default commands work but none of his custom commands seem to be working. The permissions are everyone and we have tried leaving and rejoining channel does anyone have any other ideas to try and get custom commands working?

If the default commands work then the custom commands should definitely work. Make sure you're calling commands exactly as they are named. If the command is named "!test" than the command is "!test". If it's "test" then it's "test" (without the prefix).
