$(count) with preexisting number done by a mod

I know you can setup the number from a counter in a dashbord of Nightbot, I need to do that for a steamer I mod but I dont have access to the dashboard of the channel. How can I do that using a preexisting number from commands? There is no documents about how to do that. Thx
