Can spam protection ignore command messages?

Spam protection works on all messages no matter what to my knowledge.

You can use !permit to temporarily allow an user to post a link.

@Polar Cat, I didn't know about that, unfortunately it doesn't solve my problem

Currently the only command that avoids certain link spam protection is the !songs command. Otherwise users would be timed out for requesting a song.

I wish I could do the same with my custom command
