BetterTwitchTV broke Twitch even after uninstalling (OS X Safari)

After installing BTTV whole chunks of content are missing from the Twitch home page (http://i.imgur.com/m7t3hLc.png), going to any page such as /directory/following produces blank white pages (http://i.imgur.com/NRxTyOh.png). Going to a channel page produces the same blank white page, there is however a black line indicating where the side bar is (http://i.imgur.com/duFO4WR.png). What’s worse is that the problem persists even after uninstalling BTTV and restarting my computer.

First I thought it was my ad-blocker, disabling it and restarting had no effect. Now here I am unable to use Twitch at all on Safari!

System specs:
OS X El Capitan 10.11 Beta (15A243d)
Safari Version 9.0 (11601.1.43)
BetterTwitchTV version 6.8

If you use deductive reasoning here, then the problem isn’t BetterTTV since after uninstalling it the issue persisted.

You should try clearing your cookies and cache. If that doesn’t work, reach out to Twitch Support since the pages are not fully loading.
