You can set them up to make Nightbot post messages automatically to your chat on a regularly timed basis.

Sorry, there is no easy way to add timers through chat. They must be set up through the Nightbot dashboard.
Though if you’re handy at writing custom scripts, you could write some script that interacts with the Nightbot API to add/edit/delete timers, then call that script with a $(urlfetch). Nightbot API Timers documentation: https://api-docs.nightbot.tv/#timers
