I have seen that some streamers have bttv emotes that can be used in any chat, much more than the five you get from pro and some are also animated, how can I make one of my animated bttv emotes usable everywhere? Do I just need a pro sub or is it something else?

Hey @Wooden Bee!

These likely are shared emotes that the other streamer added to their channel.
When you upload an emote you can decide whether or not to share it, if you do, then other streamers can decide to add your emote to their channel as well.
