I added BetterTTV to my chrome and added emotes to my channel and it now shows under "shared emotes". When I go to my Twitch, and I type in the short cut, they dont show up. If I use one of the global ones, they do work. Anyway to fix this?

You have to wait a couple minutes after you added them to your chat, and you need to refresh your Twitch chat as well.
